Biodesix, Inc. is Hiring a Billing Specialist II Near Louisville, CO
- Learn billing software and process flows
- Review and submission of appeals to government and commercial health plans
- Facilitate productive peer-to-peer calls to insurance plans
- Adhere to process flows and Standard Operating Procedures
- Accurate recording of patient data and communications
- Answer patient billing questions and concerns
- Work collaboratively with internal departments
- Strong communication skills- both oral and written (over the phone and in-person)
- Ability to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and process flows
- Computational and basic math skills
- Patient-centric focus
- Organized with attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to emerging situations and respond with a sense of urgency
- Handle confidential financial and personal information appropriately
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- Experience in Finance or cash collections preferred
- Medical/Laboratory Billing Experience preferred
- CLIA: Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Requirements, Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations Part 493
- CAP: College of American Pathologists (CAP): All Common, General, Chemistry, Director Responsibility and Authority and Molecular Pathology checklists
- NYS CLEP: New York State Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP), New York State Public Health Law, Article 5 Title 5
- ISO: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485, Quality Management Systems, Requirements for Regulatory Purposes, 2016
- All other applicable state and regulatory governing authorities including but not limited to: CA, PA, RI, MD
